How can I increase optimization quality?

Speed and quality are mutually exclusive. If you want better optimization quality at the expense of speed, follow the guidelines below.

All of the guidelines below apply to the Optimization profiles tab in Search options window.

  • Increase the number of optimization profiles - you can enable or add optimization profiles, e.g. slow profiles if they are on the list.
  • Enable or increase the complexity of global optimization - this can significantly improve the quality of the results. Optimization speed, however, can drastically decrease.
  • Enable or enhance adaptive sheet order change - the threshold for this method can be decreased to 5%. You can increase the number of tries and change cycles.
  • Disable time and volume restrictions - consider the capacity of your hardware, as optimization can take very long on legacy computers.
  • Increase search accuracy – the number of tries in the first and later cycles can be increased.
  • Upgrade your license to Professional if your PC has multiple processors or a multicore processor you should consider upgrading to the Professional version, which supports multi-threaded optimization, to fully use its computation capacity.
